Job Title: Senior Officer – Ship Registration (GMCG India)

Our expertise spans various areas, including ship registration, compliance, and advisory services. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join our team as a Deputy Manager for the Ship Registration Department. 

Position Overview: 

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled individual with 5-6 years of relevant experience in ship registration under various flag states. The ideal candidate will have a background in naval architecture or marine engineering, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations and a proven track record in managing ship registration processes. 

Responsibilities: 

• Flag State Registration: Lead and manage the ship registration process under various flag states, ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards. 
• Documentation and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of required documentation for ship registration, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant flag state requirements. 
• Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication with flag state authorities, clients, and internal stakeholders to facilitate the smooth and efficient registration process. 
• Advisory Services: Provide expert advice on ship registration matters to clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. 
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all ship registration documentation and processes. 
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within GMCG to ensure a seamless integration of ship registration services with other consultancy offerings. 
• Regulatory Updates: Stay abreast of changes in international maritime regulations and flag state requirements, updating internal teams and clients accordingly. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field. 
• 5-6 years of experience in ship registration, preferably within a consulting or maritime industry setting. 
• Thorough understanding of international maritime regulations and flag state requirements. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities. 
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Familiarity with ship classification societies and industry best practices.
