Led by CEO Sunil Kumar, the GMCG management team met at the Village Hotel in Katong, Singapore from January 29 – 31st. With this year’s AGM slogan ‘Yes We Can!’, the team was keen to have astrong start to 2018 and excited to be able to meet in person.
Regional Managing Directors travelled from across the globe to participate in the AGM, where they heard updates on 2017’s financial results and marketing and PR initiatives. Attention then turned to the market outlook and GMCG’s objectives for 2018. The team held open discussions on strategic plans, projects and initiatives, as well as highlighting the challenges and concerns facing their global clients.

Presentations were also made to the team on behalf of Zhengzhou Neptune, one of GMCG’s valued business associates and the team also welcomed Mr Mohammed Shakil Rai who represented Highwaves Marine.

The highest performing GMCG individuals and regional teams were awarded for their achievements and GMCG’s CEO Sunil Kumar made awards to offices in Sri Lanka and Greece for ‘Most Improved Office’; the Dubai office was recognised as GMCG’s ‘Biggest Contributor’; ‘and Overall Performance’ was awarded to the India Office. Mr Kumar also made individual commendation awards to Christos Michalopoulos, Kristina Xuan and Renju Narayanan.

With 2018 set to be an exciting and challenging year for the shipping industry, this AGM was an opportunity for the GMCG team to agree their forward plan to best meet their clients’ needs and continue their plans for growth.
