Global Maritime Consultants Group (GMCG), Kersten Training Academy (KTA) and the International Register of Shipping (INTLREG) came together to deliver a specialized training session on the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC 2006).
The course, expertly delivered by Captain Everton Morris, an ILO-certified instructor, served as more than just a regulatory training—it marked a significant milestone in GMCG and KTA’s shared mission to provide not only accredited STCW programs but also tailored professional maritime trainings. This initiative is a key step in supporting Suriname’s transition into the Oil & Gas industry, ensuring the local workforce is equipped with internationally recognized standards and competencies.
We extend our deepest thanks to all attendees who took part in the MLC 2006 training session. Your questions, insights, and open discussions were instrumental in enriching the learning experience. By engaging directly with Suriname’s maritime professionals, we gain invaluable understanding of the region’s unique operational landscape—knowledge that shapes the way we tailor our services.
