JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reports directly to the HOD Naval Architecture – Engineering Department. The position requires · Client facing and highly consultative · Conceptual engineering; front end developmental work · Maintaining quality and meeting time schedule for ongoing jobs. · Managing various aspects related to the design, construction, and maintenance of marine vessels, offshore structures, or other maritime projects. · Liaising with clients and team to execute required work in organized manner meeting quality standards for maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. |

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Handling of clients with technical and engineering needs (Surveys, Certificates, Naval architectural calculations, Manual preparations, Drawing preparations etc), in a proper and professional way. · Ensure that vessel designs and construction adhere to maritime regulations, classification society rules, and industry standards (such as SOLAS, MARPOL, ABS, DNV, etc.). · Following-up with the Administration & Classification Society for coordination of surveys. · Following up the engineering jobs. · Arrangement with the Registration concerning all documents required on the Technical side for registration of vessels. · Coordinating with the Accounts department concerning quotations and invoicing. · Conduct structural analysis, stability assessments, and hydrodynamic calculations to ensure the integrity, stability, and safety of marine structures. · Provide advanced technical expertise in areas such as hydrodynamics, ship structures, marine systems, and materials, contributing insights and solutions to complex engineering challenges. · Delivering output related to Engineering jobs on time and meeting required quality standard. · Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and design methodologies in naval architecture. Apply innovative solutions to improve efficiency, performance, and sustainability of marine vessels and structures. · Submission and filling of technical reports. · Keeping the electronic file and hard copies file up to date as required. · Identify potential risks associated with marine designs or operations, conduct risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies to enhance safety and reliability. · Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to junior naval architects and engineering teams, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing. |

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: · Education – Graduate -degree in Naval Architecture · Specialized knowledge- Auto CAD, AUTOSHIP, GHS, Microsoft EXCEL · Skills- Good Communication Skills and Familiar with Ship design, Naval Architecture Calculations, Statutory Regulations and Classification Rules. · Professional Certification – Recommended. · Experience preferred – 4 – 8 Years of relevant experience in Ship/Offshore design or Naval Architectural Consultancy services. |
