JOB DESCRIPTION:   As a Surveyor, required to carry out Surveys/Audits/Inspections meeting the requirements of Classification Rules, Instructions, guidelines and meeting Statutory requirements as necessary. As surveyor will be the expert advisor on classification and statutory certification related matters. Surveyor will be carrying out regular and unscheduled inspections based on authorization from Classification Society and will need to report after completion of surveys/audits/inspections.  Surveyor should always maintain the standards for quality and safety.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   Handling of clients with technical needs (Surveys, Certificates etc.), in a proper and professional way, including acknowledgement of receipt of messages, telephone calls and faxes.Following-up with the Administration for coordination of surveys.Arrangement with the Registration concerning all documents required on the Technical side for registration of vesselsArrangement with the Accounting concerning quotations and trips for survey purposesSubmission and filling of technical reports.Keeping the electronic file and hard copies file up to date with the Administration.General duties concerning keeping the office under good appearance and all technical supplies in stock.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:   Education – Graduate in Naval Architecture/ Marine Engineer with COC –Class ISpecialized knowledge – Ship Survey/New Construction InspectionSkills- Good Communication Skills, Understanding of Classification and Statutory Regulations, Professional Certification – NAExperience – 3-5 Years of experience in Survey of Ships from recognized Class Society/New Construction supervision
